Hi there, I’m Noah—a filmmaker and aspiring cinematographer based in Amsterdam, with Rome as my second home.
With a background in both fiction and documentary, I am passionate about visual storytelling—whether capturing real, intimate moments or working on more aesthetic projects.
My goal is always to support the story in the best way possible through cinematography.
I have 5 years of experience with a Master’s degree in Film Arts from Rome’s University of Fine Arts, where I focused on cinematography and documentary filmmaking. Before that, I studied Journalism, Gender Studies, and Cultural Anthropology - which still influences how I approach stories, with a unique eye for nuance, context, and care.
About
Over the past few years, I’ve worked on a variety of short films and documentaries. One that stands out is Bull’s Eye, directed by Francisca Borges, which premiered in 2024 at the Corto Condorello Festival, where Paolo Sorrentino was jury president. It’s since gone on to screen at several international festivals. Other projects I’ve been part of include Michele Deve Morire, Hiperboreea, LRNP, Dancing with Devils, and Star by Lizzy Keery. My favorite stories to work on often live in the space between coming-of-age and drama - with a touch of humor or tenderness.
Right now, I’m working on The Waiting List, a documentary that follows trans individuals from across Europe as they navigate long waits for gender-affirming care. It’s a deeply personal project, shaped by my own experience as a trans person. I also recently worked on The Volunteer, a film shot in Ukraine that follows a volunteer who’s been supporting soldiers on the front lines for six years without pause.
Projects
Outside of my own projects, I work on film and TV sets as a camera and lighting assistant, and freelance as a cinematographer and videographer for films, documentaries, and commercial work.
